Ok my friend took the car to Auto Parts and this is the code that the computer came up with P0170. Can some one tell me what the code meas??? So what does my friend need to do now??

Means you got a fuel problem or air flow counting problem and no it's not talking about fuel cut.

Thats a fuel trim code.

You need to check a list of things.
-MAF
-Injectors
-Fuel pressure
-Air drawn from gasket leaks(unmetered air)
-The 02 sensors and the heater circuits
-ECT sensor
-IAT sensor
-Barometric pressure sensor
-Exhaust leaks
-ECM

These are the possible causes. You need the proper information and tools to check this.

First thing I'd check is vacuum leaks.
