As the title says, I have an 03 Civic w/ the l.7l sohc 'vtec' ... I had to replace the head, and ever since that happened the car will (more times that not) act like it's bouncing off the rev limiter at 4k. Weird thing is, it doesn't do it 100% of the time... And if I'm lucky enough to go past 4k when the car shifts into the next gear, it will act like it's hitting the limiter once it reaches that same rpm point.

... I believe I've posted this before, but lost interest in the issue. Well, now I'm trying to get the car back into somewhat decent condition... Any of you Honda gurus have any clue? Thanks!

ps... Does Advance still offer to scan you computer for the check engine light? I don't remember which one of those stores did it for free.
