forgot the order of cylinders to adjust the valves, i thought it was 1 3 2 4, but then i thought it was 1 4 3 2 , somebody tell me so i can do it, i dont have a manual at the house either........

 

1 3 4 2 on my B16A...

 

I REAAAAAALY need to get my valves adjusted. Last time i got my old motor done they did them wayyy too tight. My damn car couldnt hold a good idle and would stall out when i came to a stop haha.... Damn she was quiet though

do it your self nate, its really easy as long as you can remember the order, hahah.....thanks fabric8, that was the order, its done now........

 

i adjusted the valves on my old dohc non-vtec h23. isnt it a bit more difficult on a vtec? not sure i wanna do it myself the first time. rather have someone. cuse i need to adjust mine pretty damn soon... tickity tick tick =]

 

ill help you if youd like, youll have to buy the tool cause i borrowed bens and returned it today................

 

sears has the gauge set for $6.99 this is the angled gauges for all honda heads.

 

The nice special tool really helps on DOHC heads too..

 

firing order should not affect valve adjustment procedure.
