thats for all the input guys. One more quick question, theres i guess a heat sheild covering the exhaust manifold and its rusted like crazy, is there a way i can remove some of that rust, should i just take it off and sand it?

get all new nuts before hand, chances are atleast one will break, this way youll be able to put it back on with shinny new ones even if they dont break, also Osfo works awsome removing rust, but leave it on for a while.

The heat shield is not required, you may not even waht to replace it.

LOL....YES CD-2!!! is great..no one believes me..everytime we do an engine swap we blast the bay with this stuff and it comes out looking brand new...good stuff

To cover the distributor and other areas, tin foil works well. You can mold it around oddly shaped things.
