your driveway with a can of CD2 and rags... i say that you should do it yourself because i wouldn't trust anybody else with cleaning solutions or water around my engine control electronics.

A bottle of mean green, or foaming tire shine.
Spray it down, close the hood and let it idle for 10-15 minutes. Then lift the hood and hose it off, being careful not to put a lot of water on igntion/electronics. The tire shine works great.

I'll do it for a nominal fee.
I clean customer's engines any time they have a big service done (15k, 30k, etc.) They paid us a lot of money to do it, so I feel like it's fair to clean it off a bit.
