The high flow cat is making your O2 sensor think there is an out of spec condition. This happens a lot with OBD2 cars, Focus and WRX people could probably add a lot to this thread..
There are a few things you can do, one of them is to try an O2 sensor spacer. It moves the sensor away from the exhaust flow a little bit and that seems to trick it a bit. This supposedly helps WRXs that have had the uppipe or downpipe cat removed, I don't remember which.

 

yeah, use two 18mm No-Foulers, stacket on each other. spaces the O2 from the cat, decreasing the flow of exhaust gases over it, mimicking the stock flow.


downstream O2's in an OBDII honda are 18mm thread if i recall, alot of the nissans are a 14mm.



and btw....a pre OBDII ecu on honda doesnt have a data stream.....you get codes by either counting flashes on the LED on the ECU, or jumpering over the check connector in the pass side of the car, and counting the flashes of the CEL.

alright, thanks for the help everyone. i found an 02 simulator that tricks the ECU into thinking that the 02 sensor is getting correct readings. making the CEL dissapear and makes me happy.

 

u could just take the cable off of the battery for the nite and that will restart the system........jus make sure u put it back on before u leave

that resets the ECU....doesnt fix the cause, only the effect.


he wants a way to keep from having it happen again.
