WTB: 9mm handgun
It's not that I hate Glocks, it's just I prefer just about everything else over them. Glocks do everything okay, but nothing great, in my opinion. Ergonomics and trigger squeeze are the most important features of a handgun and Glock is light years behind most others.
The reliability aspect is a little over played with a lot of Glock loyalists. They are reliable, without a doubt, but a lot of people think that ONLY Glocks are reliable. Many, many, many other weapons are just as reliable that offer an all around better weapon.
Glocks, however, are very nicely priced. You get a decent gun for an exceptional value. My hat is off to Gaston Glock for offering such a value.
I like the grip angle on my glock, and I've shot guns with worse trigger pulls. Yes, there are many other guns out there that are just as, or even more reliable. Glocks do what I want them to do, everytime. Don't like them? Fine. But to say they are pieces of shit is just stupid.
Only difference is that half the police force in the U.S. use it as a duty pistol. Glocks may not have perfect ergonomics, but they sure hell are proven. And that's what Glock has over XD. But for someone like with that has short fat fingers, I'll pick up a XD-9 over Glock 19.

Nope, the truth. I guess it all depends on what you want in a pistol actually. If a cheap made, cheap looking, cheap feeling gun is what you crave, Glock is all for you.
If you want a nice quality gun made with nice quality parts that looks halfway decent, look elsewhere. Glocks are pretty much the AK's of handgun world.
Yes, see above.

Every glock I shot I have kept 6 inch groupings at 25 yards with cheap ammo. So please don't go on about accuracy. It is not match gun by any means but self defense handguns are designed to be used with in 7 yards. I have Glock myself and have 3,000 rounds through it. Not once, not once have I had a problem with it. I cant say that about any of my other more expensive handguns that I love.
How are they cheaply made, there polymer is one of a kind. There is not other gun company except for maybe H&K that use a polymer that actual helps absorb recoil. Many companies have copied the glock for a reason.

And so has the glock. You can't take away what the glock has proved. You can argue about trigger pull and all that bullshit, but when it comes down to it, millions can fire them very accurately and quick just like a 1911. Dont get me wrong, I love my Les Baer 1911 but the glock works.
The trigger works right?
Glocks have all kinds of mysterious problems that pop up in nearly every model which, often times, Glock refuses to fix through a recall. Usually it's called an "update" that comes in the later versions where you would need to pay for the fix. On a couple of occasions Glock has recalled pistols sold to police departments while refusing to fix those sold to civilians. All of these little problems have earned Glock it's reputation as a poorly made unreliable handgun and a manufacturer that doesn't stand by it's product.
I'm not a fan of Glock's trigger pull myself, but even if I loved it I would never own one for their reputation for shafting customers. While they might be a good deal for a handgun in their price range I'm glad I can afford better. HK all the way.
