WTB: 9mm handgun
that is a good deal, none the less. I paid 465 for my XD-9, With one 10 round mag and one 16 round mag. It also came with the tactical holster, 2 mag holder and speed loader. Great deal @ A&P, much better gun then a glock IMO.
here is a pic of the XD with my m4
It has the 16 round mag in in the pic above, with the 10 round mag it is super small.

I have. Just Google "Glock .40S&W kaboom". But that's not to say that other weapons haven't had their problems too.
Glocks are good for this reason, however some people desire more. Like Ashley said, Glocks are similar to AK-47s, they're highly affective, but there is more accurate out there. (and I know you're not disputing that)
Josh, are you telling me you had a problem with your Les Baer?! I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if my Colt had a problem, much less a Les Baer custom!
This is true. I believe Gaston Glock was the originator of the polymer framed handgun. Now, nearly every manufacturer has a polymer framed weapon.

You're exactly right. Their value, durability and reliability has earned them a good reputation. I'm not trying to bash on Glocks--they're a great weapon for many people. All I'm saying is that there are other guns better at Glocks own game (maybe not value though). I think I'd like Glocks A LOT more if my hand actually fit their grips. When I pick up a weapon, I want my hand to fit the gun, not the gun to fit my hand.
Just think, at least your thread is staying at the top of the forum!
But you're right...

Every glock I shot I have kept 6 inch groupings at 25 yards with cheap ammo. So please don't go on about accuracy. It is not match gun by any means but self defense handguns are designed to be used with in 7 yards.
I have Glock myself and have 3,000 rounds through it. Not once, not once have I had a problem with it. I cant say that about any of my other more expensive handguns that I love.
Many companies have copied the glock for a reason.

And so has the glock. You can't take away what the glock has proved. You can argue about trigger pull and all that bullshit, but when it comes down to it, millions can fire them very accurately and quick just like a 1911. Dont get me wrong, I love my Les Baer 1911 but the glock works.
The trigger works right?

P.S. - Glocks, just like all DAO handguns, suck copious amounts of penis.
Obvious Glock is accurate enough from many Law Enforcement agenices, but trust me I am not saying it is the best gun of all time. I also have a H&K and a Les Baer. I know what a fucking good gun is.
Well not really, during the 500 round break in process I had a few failer to loads, but I called Les Baer and they said it was normal. I have since had about 1000 rounds through it without a problem. So I would say no.
Yup, that's common and expected. It takes about 700 rounds for the proper break in on a tight-fitting, stainless weapon such as your Les Baer.
Why is that? With cheap ammo I could hit someone from 25yards away in the head multiple times, with my Glock. At 50 yards I could do it with my Les Baer. Is that really that bad? I know you are a really good shot but I could not think of a time where i would need to be accurate more than 7 yards away from me. Any further and I would consider murder.

Aside from that, I have DAO handguns, and therefore, I hate Glocks. I don't care if they Navy used a Glock to shoot down a satellite, it would still suck because it didn't have a hammer.
<--- Steyr M9-A1, can be bought from CDNN for about 350.00 brand new. just find a local dealer to set up the purchase/transfer and you will be good to go. it is just slightly bigger than a glock 19. the design was developed by a glock engineer, he approached the company and said he thought that this should be the next glock, they said no thanks. he went down the road to Steyr and here it is. it was designed as a .40 caliber first with a fully supported chamber so 9mm +P+ loads are trivial. i have owned glocks, sigs, 1911's, h&k's, smiths, colts, and others plus have shot many different handguns. the Steyr is the best all around handgun i have owned. 5 rounds 7yds quick fire:
