I got a Springfield Armory 1911 compact .45 thinking about selling if a good offer ever came up. Pm me know if you're interested or want more info.

Or just get a normal G19 @ local gun stores for $500 + free range time or even a used one @ $400.

I'm also in the market for a hand gun too. A buddy of mine suggested Smith & Wesson M&P or the Springfield XD.

i have the xd and love it. I shot the m&p, and was not impressed.. and i dont dislike the sr9 b/c its not a glock. i cant stand glocks either. It is just my opinion.

So it is just a preference on the glock right? I have no problem with people saying they dont like the glock. I do have a problem when they say it is junk.

Nope, the truth. I guess it all depends on what you want in a pistol actually. If a cheap made, cheap looking, cheap feeling gun is what you crave, Glock is all for you.

If you want a nice quality gun made with nice quality parts that looks halfway decent, look elsewhere. Glocks are pretty much the AK's of handgun world.

I have nothing of value to add to this thread. But I did score a 'used', but new in box and never fired, 3rd gen glock 19 for 300$ believe it or not.
