that really doesnt make much sense.

a) getting through sand in 2wd will be ALL about speed and taking the most compact sand possible.
b) how is 4wd less strain on a vehicle than 2wd?

Not gonna lie, out here in the outer banks a 2wd would have some serious problems. Might have a chance during high tide, thats about it.
