Will it make it?
I figured most of you guys would be able to give me a good idea of weather or not I could pull this off.
My daily is a 2wd 00' Ford Explorer. Well it has some tiny ass 235/75-15's on it right now. I was thinking, since I enjoy going out to the beach, would I be able to make it through sand if I put on either some 31x9.5 or 33x10.5 BFG All Terrains?
First question would be, will the 33's fit? Of course I want a bigger tire, but I'd like to avoid doing a lift. Might put like a 3'' body lift on but that'd be it. And if they won't fit, will I be good just letting some air out and riding on the 31's?
Second: Is it just a bad idea in general to put those tires on because it's gonna get stuck anyways?
Any advice?
Also, buying a different truck for the beach isn't an option. I'm almost done paying this off so I'm doing that then buying a big turbo diesel next year.

Re: Will it make it?
i think it mostly depends on how packed the sand is.
every year we go to hatteras island to 4wheel/surf and its hit or miss. on days when the sand is really compacted ive seen subarus out there, and other days when its loose ive seen lifted 4x4s stuck.
i dont think ive ever managed to get a grand cherokee 4x4 stuck at the beach, but ive come extremely close. and i drive pretty conservatively there

Re: Will it make it?
That's the only part I'm worried about. I usually see everything stuck at the entrance, but I've seen some trucks with regular street tires make it along the side. My uncle would most likely be there, and he has a HUGE f-250. I guess he could help.
