Well that's fine. I better see a lot of motorcycles and v8's with aftermarket exhausts get pulled over.

 

They will get you no matter what....my gsr has the stock tip and I was given a warning for "my exhaust" and argued that it was oem. He claimed I was lying and argued for a good 5 minutes. Sad part, to be honest...these days...they don't know what the hell we have on our cars...I think they have flash cards in their cruisers and they can determine by looking at pics....you know..VISUALS!!! So, if your going aftermarket....do what you want..cause your getting pulled regardless..

 

Like I said before, stock tips and paint the muffler black. If you go around with a shiny ass muffler even with stock tips on a 5 year old car of course their going to think it's aftermarket. No one is that stupid.

 

When I got pulled over for RD it took the TWO cops a good minute or two to realize my 4" tip (this was in my old ricer days) was not stock. Even after they did their careful deductions I got off on that charge quite easily.

 

I guess the key is to avoid them all together. If I see a cop ahead on the same side of road, I'm just going to jam on my brakes and duck behind traffic. Only time I get pulled over is when they come behind me from an on ramp or if I passed one that was slowed down by a light or traffic.
