so is all you have to do is pay a fine for having your car equipted with nitrous if the bottle is in there as well? anyone been ticketed for it other than moriar?

I think that if a govt job carries a security clearance, being found guilty of a misdemeanor or felony can cause you to lose ur clearance. Without the clearance, you can't have access to what you need access to to do your job, thus ur fired.

understandable but its gotta be a serious offence. I wouldnt imagine racing would get you out of security clearance status only like narcotics or something but what do i know. If anyone does...I'd be interrested in learning more

Reckless Driving in Excess of 80 MPH, Racing, and a few other charges carry a Class 1 Misdemeanor...which is the same classification as a DWI, DUI, etc. I didn't think it was that serious either, until I got pulled over, charged, and looked the penalty up myself for the alleged offense.

If the guy has a lawyer though, he should be able to do some pleading down b/c of his government job.
