This is about as gay as the "terrorist checkpoint" in Centreville a few months back. I didn't have a front tag and the cop asked me if I had it in the car. After I showed it to him he gave me a lecture about how terrorists have been known to steal tags and use them to commit acts of terrorism.
I wonder what they will think of next.

actually, now that i think about it, maybe the thread title is a bit misleading. FFX cops are most certianly not going to put your car up on a lift on the side of the road and check for balljoint/suspension/steering play, or pull off 2 wheels to check brakes. However, whatever the fuck it is they were trying to accomplish, was bullshit.
Im fairly sure they can, with you driving in their state, you must obey their laws, but i doubt theyd bother with it. Boxer can probably give more accurate info on that than i can though.

Well they werent giving "VA state saftey inspections" then cause FFX county cops are not in charge of VA State Saftey Inspection. Ask your local inspection station, only VA State Police mandate saftey inspection. Now it may have been a quick check and a fix it ticket, but that would be about it.
