Default State inspections on 28

Did anyone else drive down 28 on saturday night and see this? They were pulling all modified cars over and giving them on the spot state inspections all night around the 66 exits.

good to know that tax dollars are being spent that way.. not to mention that our police force is being allocated towards stopping such dangerous criminals.

what the fuck?

unfuckingbelievable! is this legal? I thought cali was the only place they could do that shit?

what exactly were they "inspecting" anyways?

I like how it's so important that they give us all our equipment tickets, but when someone's car gets jacked or broken into, it's not worth their time to investigate.

*sigh* this is why my car remains pretty much stock. Honestly, I love my evo to death, but a bimmer with some nice wheels is looking a lot better day by day.

i couldnt read the whole sign, because i wasnt paying close enough attention, but i saw state, inspection, and ahead. Of course it was good ol' ffx cops giving them, not state.

what a waste of time and my tax money, seriously. there had to be some kind of a county-wide vote for this to go down. who makes these decisions?
