RWD sports cars make for bad first cars......

Get something relatively slow so that you don't kill yourself or other people.

yeah, that is true, i'd suggest somethign FWD for your first car...it also makes you appreciate the wonders of weight transfer as well

From what I saw the sites don't offer any cars to learn in. I'm shooting to get an MR2 for a first car for the potential they offer and I love the looks. If and when I end up finding one, I want to be able to drive it to it's full ability and not end up totalling it.
For the stunt driving at Summit Point, to my knowledge they provide the surplus Chevy Caprice cars that they teach you to do the manuevers in. Skip Barber also provides rides at their schools.

One more option for you is that BMW offers a defensive driver course at their facility in Spartenburg, SC. You learn evasive manuevers and how to drive defensively in BMWs. Its a special program for young drivers. If you are up for the drive and a hotel room, I would suggest looking into it.
