I thought it was only the glovebox they need a warrant for.

They don't need a warrant for anything. The car is a movable object and doesn't require a warrant to search. thats what one of the officer at the drivers ed told us

Bad Carma will come his way
what goes around comes around

grrrr im so pissed
Were you driving? If you were, the paraphanelia was yours in the eyes of the law - period. Driver is responsible for all persons and articles inside of his or her vehicle. This will not be an easy one to fight.

Totally untrue. Anything that is not in plain view of the officer requires them to get a search warrant on NORMAL traffic stops. If your ass is running from the law and the cop has to pursue you that's a different story.

I'll find the law tomorrow and post it if I get a chance.

so i pull over, and the VSP asked me to step out the vehicle and give him my license and the registration, well so i hand it to him, he goes back to his car and then comes back out, well supposedly the car was "hot" in meanin it wasnt stolen, but was reported street racing the night before...so he tells me to pop the hood so i do..then he say's that this car is "not street legal" because he can see the AEM Fuel Rail/Pressure Gauge and then next to it was the "NX" fittings for the nitrous system that my friend had installed * no bottle in the car*

well then he Immediately calls for back up, and a tow truck, i was arrested at 9am and the car is in a impound lot as of right now, i was bailed out 3 hours ago. so to Mr Officer Jenkins a big ol FUCK YOU!

so at the end of the day, i was givin 6 tickets

1st) Nitrous System was hooked to the "block" but no bottle to be found...
2nd) Illegal Exhaust
3rd) Excessive Display of Horsepower
4th) Race Ticket "which they have proof, but no proof of me driving"
5th) Illegal Fuel Distribution that is not of OEM
6th) No presence of a catalytic converter
remind me to stay the fuck AWAY from 66.

SIDE NOTE:

this DICK is creating ALOT of problems for people on Drag VA...

can we please get a form together to show what kind of prick this guy is being. Then hand it to his supervisors and let them deal with his ass

I would agree with you, except there is only one large problem.

That problem is that according to VA law, the charges that everybody is getting nailed with is legitimate equipment violation charges as the law is currently worded. The law is the problem.

If everybody was found not guilty consistently of the charges filed against them, then sending a form to the supervisors would work. But everyone is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt....or everybody just waives their right for court and just pays the ticket...so if you sent a form to the supervisors, they would just pull up everybody's record who signed the form...see they were all found guilty of the charges...and the supervisor after seeing the guilty charge would just think that everybody is complaining solely because they were found guilty and had to suffer a penalty.

I agree with you about 66 though. I think Im going to either take the Dulles Toll Road off of the Beltway or if traffic sucks Im gonna cut thru Loudoun down 15 and the Greenway next time I come down to NOVA. I guess I should go get EZ Pass now.
