there were 2 units at the first crossroads meet, and i know they were asked there by the organizers, not because of complaints...

as i've said before, it can't hurt to ask...has anyone actually asked or are we all just guessing and acting like we know?

 

my only suggestion about the cops is that if they are going to be there anyway they should atleast help out...I understand they wont send cops for the sole reason of policing the meet, but if they are there, they should help out.

 

The Crossroads organizers must have connections or somebody on the organization team made a donation to the Fraternal Order of Police. Regardless of county, typically the police department will not dispatch units specifically to patrol and maintain the peace at a meet like this unless the county or police union/police non-profit organization is compensated in some way for it. Only exceptions usually are if its like a county fair or government organized/financed event, some event backed by the Fire Department, Police Department, Kiwanis Club, VFW, Lions Club, or some organization thats politically favored by the county government.

I am citing my opinion on this from actual quotes from various PDs in the DC metro area made over the years to local newspapers. By all means ask the local PD, but I will personally be surprised if the answer is yes.

 

down there in fredricksburg is pretty nice been down there once with my friends and it is a big parking lot the law was really kewl just told everone to pick up their trash and they wouldn't let us stay.also the are really laid back down there and if you were there you would know what i mean.we had are stupid people but the co[ really just let it go but one guy they said something to and that was it......plue i didnt see really any house around yeah a little bit of a drive but worth it to get out of FFC.i would second this location

maybe Cici's cause its close to a lot of people, and has a HUGE parking lot, plus like 4 bucks for unlimited Pizza Buffet!
