Help!!- pulled over in Arlington
I know where you're talking about my mom got a ticket there about 3 or 4 years ago and she just took the ticket and nothing else happened, but hey the age difference is what makes the difference.
Don't waste any money on a lawyer. Its 18 over, a 4 point ticket. You will not lose your license. It may be worthwhile to go to court as some judges may give you a break and drop it on the condition you go ticket-free for one year........or you could skip going to court, prepay and forget about it.

Take the time to go consult with a lawyer or two. If the lawyer says there is a very very good bet that they can drop the charge down some, then lawyer up so that you can knock the charge back some (and save some money on insurance).
Take a lawyer's advice, but I've always heard (and in my speeding case, it was good) that if you take the driving classes beforehand it always looks better then waiting for the judge to order you to do it.

I once got a ticket back in high school that was a few miles from becoming reckless...all I did was pay the ticket. Of course the people in my car helped pay it too
Arlington traffic court is nothing like Fairfax so unless they got really strict in the past 7 years, it might not be so bad.
