i know leesylvania state park is good here in woodbridge. Also veterans park down here in lake ridge

 

go to the potomac or accoquan and go catfishing. can catch some big fuckers. I went for cats for fun up at Roosevelt Island and was using white perch which are running about now and was chunkin them out there and ended up with a 30" striper.
what kinda fishin are you lookin to do though? Go to Ocean City, Tog are in now and are one of hte best fightin fish i've ever dealt with.

 

If you get a few of your friends together you can charter a boat on the chesepeake for relatively inexpensive. Catch some decent stuff.

 

Where is "here"?

 

Right now the Bass is were its at. Went to Burke Lake on Sunday and caught 4 Bass all which were over 3 lbs. A few Monsters swam by but couldnt find where they were going to. Look for beds right now, you might just encounter a huge one. Getting a few freinds to get a charter is not a bad idea also. Went with a couple buddies last year and will probally go again this year.

Thanks guy. well i was looking for rockfish cause they just came out and im planing on cating hering to use as bait. when i say here i mean Va side no dc..im gion to dc this weekend. to go over night fishng. going all out. but yea. i wanna try lake accuquan but i dont know where in accuquan. last time i had a shitty place and didn't catch shit. what yall use for bait anyways?and i went to burk lake last week and caught small ass cat. i wouldn't mind some bass actually. where in burke was your fishing ? on the pier?

if your going for catfish, i usually stay around the james, i know several guys that go out there and catch at least a couple 40lbs+ almost everytime they go.
