FCPD introduce new technology...
KissmyIS, if the fingerprint scanners are that good, then my mistake, but I still feel like there will be bugs with them, like almost all electronics seeing as how they are built by people, and people make mistakes. Whether those bugs simply cause them to do something not noticeable or cause them to ID people falsely, I don't know, but I personally feel like there WILL be problems with them (just my opinion).
I agree other's concerns on this. Its not what it is now, quicker ID'ng of criminals, but what it will become later. Give it time, it will expand to something like you need to have your kids fingerprinted and cataloged into a national database in order to register them for schools. Look at the Patriot act, it was "supposed" to be used for monitoring suspected terrorists, but we've seen that its power has clearly been abused.
And no, I don't have a criminal record either.

This technology has been around for quite a bit and goes through standardized quality control. I'm not saying there isn't a false positive or false negative here and there, but its like lottery odds. We currently implement the same algorithms in the fed sector. These algorithms are made by like 20-30 doctor dudes in some lab in Cambridge. Pretty crazy shit
The problems I foresee with this are people worrying about data collection, just like in the fed sector. In reality, if you read my post above, they are required to let you know what personal info they actually store.
Right, but this isn't a new technology where there's "bugs" like a windows OS

For FFX Co, the database will consist of people busted for speeding and equipment violations since those violations have priority over real crime.
yeah, since we all arent criminals, i dont see a reason to worry. But just wondering, does FFX county have that licenses plate scanning technology that was posted somewhere in eye candy or something
