I know what its like, one full page of my driving record was nothing but equipment violations.

Basically, it comes down to this: go back to stock or pay to play

No, there isn't. Modifications are limited to the laws. For example, the suspension CAN be modified (and it says that), but lift blocks aren't allowed on the front, cannot be raised more than something ike 24 or 28" (not sure....I drive a car), and cannot be lower than 14" from the middle of the bumper (unless there are Street Rod/Hot Rod Plates). Modifications are legal, but when you get to things like exhaust, it is up to the cop what is "unreasonable" because the law dosen't state a specification. Tint, suspension, and other things are legal...but to a certain extent, and the law states the limit.

Don't blame me if you get ticketed. It has to be clearly legible from the front...if the judge believes that it isnt clearly legible, the ticket may still be valid. GL

But they would need to prove that they were doing this for the purpose of racing or speeding on any road, street, or highway in VA.

yeah, i searched the law database and couldnt find it, so maybe i was wrong. i remember back in the day with the ricers the police officers in williamsburg would write the same ticket, because it covered anything, and it basically said any modification of any kind that is an unlike quality of stock.
