Ideas for a JDM show. Feedback please
Since VA is getting no shows this year my best friend and I are looking into throwing an all JDM show. We also like this idea because the east coast does not see many if any JDM inspired shows. We're looking for a location between Petersburg and Fredericksburg. We've found a couple locals but nothing has proved promising. We are both familiar with hosting and judging shows, however neither of us has thrown a specialty show like this. We are toying with the idea of holding a drift session depending on the location we find. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Here are the classes I’ve come up with so far: PAGE 2 FOR THE UPDATED CLASS LIST

Do you think this is too many? Did I forget anyone? I was also thinking about only giving out a 1st place for each class and a plaque to those who meet the points. The points will be a Carlisle Tuner event themed system however not focusing on just aftermarket parts but placement, jdm, cleanliness and aftermarket. We are thinking about also having a Bikini and possible Wet-T. Tentative date is June 17. Still undecided on pricing; depends on events, classes and trophies within the classes. Would this be a show you would want to attend (not saying you are)? Any feedback would be awesome. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and if you reply THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I realize HIN is coming to DC on April 22. However this is not just a JDM show. I checked the schedules and June 17 should not conflict with anything close (surrounding states).
Why does it have to be an "all JDM" show? Does this mean that all car entries must be JDM or Japan-base manufacturers? I think that you should make it a sport compact show. You will get a better turn out..... IMO

Admirable idea.........but I'd predict you'd get dozens of cars that looked exactly the same. Which begs the question: What would your judging criteria be?
