Ideas for a JDM show. Feedback please
Well at least I got more then a few words out of you. What kind of car do you own and what "fad" are you into? JDM shows 3 years ago? They are still going on today. I wasn't expecting to post on here and have everyone give me the thumbs up. Not what people want these days huh, well so far we have 16-9 liking the idea and thats just on this website. I have it posted on several other sites and have received a postive response overall. Thank you for replying with something other then you are all idiots and it will fail.

95 240sx , s15 conversion, built s15 sr20det, full cage, formula d scca spec prepped racecar. 40kish invested
94 built, boosted, 12 second foor door integra
98 gtivr6, 3.0 v6 eip stage two, fully built
04 chevy avalanche, lifted, wheels, exhust ect (wifes daily and tow vehicle)
02 gsxr 750
01 triumph tt600
90 g60 corrado, built and lynshomed. (needs rebuilt, cought fire)
and i just sold my ws6 trans-am
so im pretty well traveled as far as types of cars go.
if i was into a "fad" it would be, well, racing. if thats a fad.
An exclucivly "JDM" show would be painfully boring. hence, a failure imo.
It is true, I do have alot of jdm parts on my cars, but thats not for the sake of being "jdm" they just happen to be the best parts, or the ones i find most visually pleaseing. Honestly, I more than likely have more "JDM" parts than 90% of the poeple in this thread whom think the show is a good idea.
You have an impressive line up. So you wouldn't be interested in bringing your 240 and/or teg out to the show? The show is for anyone who owns a Japanese manufatured vehicle. Yes the majority will be JDM inspired USDM vehicles that will call their ED a EF and 240 a silvia. I want this show to appeal to everyone from a full blown show bitch to a clean type-r converted integra to a simple ef hatch that is tastefully done. Yes we want JDM theamed cars to show up but it's open to all Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infinity, Mazada, Mitsubishi and Subarus out there. That is why we are giving out a first place trophy in each class and either smaller trophies or plaques to those who meet the points. What kind of show would you throw?

Thank you and don't worry I wont let anyone change my mind. I just like to hear feedback from people which could help me in my thoughts about the show. I am not trying to jump on the JDM band wagon, I just favor Japanese vehicles and would like to throw a specialty show. So therefor why not a JDM show. Thanks for the support Lord_Vegeta.

I'm not bashing your show, *it's good you're giving these type of vehicles a place to shine other than parking lot circle tugs or homemade photoshoots. I've watched cars that were celebrated mightily in this boards Eye Candy section get trounced time after time at local shows by "rice". Bout time they get their own specialty show and stop paying entry fees to finance someone elses trophy at the regular ones.*
*edit-actually sarcasm
<-----"ricer"....a.k.a. "room full of those trophies"
