The stock dogbone is longer but the different shock may be shorter than what come on there originally it sounds like. If your satisfied with the handling characteristics now, I suggest you find adjustable rearsets that allow you to taylor for your comfort and/or get handlebar risers, IF, it's really comfort your after.

SuperMotard may be in your future...

the different shock IS a few mm shorter... and i really dont have ANY problem with the bike exept that i'd like it to be taller. that way when im sitting still my legs can be extended... YA DIG!??

dont feel right tho..... i tried buying a vulcan fro my bro and test rode it.... just didnt feel good... like, i coulda sat on the bike for days (comfty as hell) but it didnt ride as fun and wasnt responsive, handled like a cow and prob made me look fat...
