For the cold there's nothing like textile and 3/4 length. Nothing warmer unless you go with a full suit. Leather gets wet and its miserable riding in one

The speed and strength jacket my friend had was the one with sleeves that would zip off and it was mesh arms with armor underneath. It was awesome and the temps ridden in ranged from 35-85 degrees. Also was waterproof. The best attempt at a year round jacket I've seen yet



There is no such thing as a year round jacket in VA unless you hate yourself and like the torture.

how much are you looking to spend?

JR/Teknic/Fieldsheer/Alpinestars/Icon is all decent middle of the road stuff when on sale but there's some truly great stuff out there

 

My rides are not long and the cold is not really what im aiming to eliminate overall but to an extent. but a jacket that does most in 1 not all, since there is no thing. So i will probably stay textile + layers if i need them which i will on some occasions.

 

Any gear is better than none. I went down and know that my arm would NOT be the same without my gear on.
