I've got the same '77 rd400, except almost completely stock. I never ride it though because of my 1050 Speed Triple.

Yup, same bike. I've probably only ridden it 6 times since you did that work. It's pretty much just been decoration for my garage. I did get ahold of a stock airbox, so I'll probably need the bike re-jetted if you have the time. I'll probably end up selling it if anyone is looking for a classic.

i see more and more of the cafe style bikes popping up. (its a good thing i think, too many idoits think they need a 170hp sport bike). in roanoke, there are 5 of us that just all bought CB's to turn into cafe racers. we may make public appearances at parades and what not. ;0).

i just found out what all parts my bike had installed on it in 1973 when it was a year old!
Yoshi head, yoshi daytona cam, yoshi con-rods, super piston 820cc 12.5:1 pistons, some japanese exhaust, 3 up sprocket, dyna ignition. after putting some real gas in it, and getting it good and warmed up, the thing pulls pretty hard! it feels like a high 12 sec bike. it also has a 2nd front brake that i haven't put on yet. this is going to be a fun bike to own.

What do bikes like this go for now? As much as I was trying to get it back to original form, I'd love to see what'd you'd make it into, Skrooz.
The Sprint 1050 is nice too. I really want one of the 675 Daytona's, though.
