You turn 18 and can get a permit, just like a permit for driving then take the class. If you're like 19+ then you take a class and get the license.

No, you can get a permit at 17. You still must get a permit if you're over 19. However, if you're 19+ then you only have to hold the permit for 30 days.

So I'm 19... if I go and get my motorcycle learner's I only have to hold it for 30 days, and then I can get my motorcycle license?

Are there other courses than the DMV course?
