ive been trying to get out to the drag strip for the last couple weeks to see what my 04 sv650s would run. finally made it out last night. i got 6 runs in and i didnt get to the lanes till 8.

my best run was 12.53 @ 104.3 mph. it was pretty consistant. isnt that a shitty mph for a 12 second pass though? my best 60' was a 1.9. ive never dragged a bike before, and the stock rating for it was 12.37, so i wasnt too dissappointed.

what do yall think about the mph? is it just that im not leaving the line hard? the bike felt like it didnt have a lot of top end power, im guessing thats normal for a bike?

that sounds about right for an sv650 and not bad at all for a first timer, 1.9 60' is pretty damn good for a first timer on a sv, they aren't the easiest bikes to launch with not much weight and lots of torque... how much do you weigh? the trap speed sounds low to me

is it completely broken in? trap does seem low.. I read somewhere K3/4 SV's trapped at 115+ usually(ideal conditions/run/rider)

 

yea, shes broken in. i have 2800 on her now, and only had her since VERY end of july
