Angry 75/80 drag strip...

so whose been there?

if you haven't, don't go. i went for my first itme there tonite. the track is a POS. i was chirping 3rd on every pass there and when my friend blew his tranny they didnt even bother cleaning up any of the spilt fluid or even looking at the track. i was there for test and tune. not once did they spray anything down, only maybe 3 times they got a mop out and wiped the starting line down some. what a piece of shit track. no one seemed to really be able to hook up and everyone was runnign a higher time than normal. most people said their times were about a half second slower than normal(when the track is cleaned and treated or whe nat a better 1 suck as MIR) the best i was even able to hit was only a 15.4 at 89, sucks.

Anyone else have a bad experience at that track? i recomend to not go there at all, either run or race.
I had some rednecks w/ 3 teeth yelling at me to get my riceburner off the track. never going there again.

The track is closing down after this season. The owner has run into major health issues, and I believe has sold off the land. 75-80 has always had a redneck crowd going to it. The only reason I used to race there was because it was maybe 30 minutes at the most from my parents house in MD.

I raced there a few times in the 300zx and 1rst and 2nd i would be ok, but as soon as I I would shift in to third the car would wanna wash out and go side ways and break traction. Only place My Z ever did that. Even on the street it would only chirp 3rd and 4th but that track it would wanna spin bad when I switched to high boost. fuck that track. I only race at Old domion speed way and M I R

yea its off exit 26 which is rt 80. shitty track, seemed like its more geared toward rwd cars the way it was layed out and how the water box was set up and all. most fwd cars were getting shitty times too. rxs type s w/ a 15.6 for the fastest ana 99 si w/ bolt ons could only do a 16 flat. every1's times were slow.
