which bike is better?
i feel like giving my take even though lots wont like it.
Do you have friends that ride? Yes? Then get something small and slightly older. This will curb your desire to be cool with everyone else and ride outside of your limits while learning. Too many times people get caught all up in their egos and think they cant be shown up or they will look retarded and have to show off. This is gay.
If you dont have any friends that ride and/or you are a bit of a loner type that doesnt foresee riding in groups and whatnot and honestly just wants the thrill of being on two wheels.. get something somewhat nice but still not something brand spanking new either. Then get the proper gear and safety equipment... get frame sliders. Then.. RIDE WITHIN YOUR ABILITIES. Dont push so hard to learn everything on a bike so fast. Take your time.. enjoy the ride. Thats more or less what I did. I dont ride in groups.. I dont have any real friends that ride.. I know others that ride but thats it. I also honestly dont get all caught up in the ego competition of being the biggest and best. I went from a ninja 650R to cbr600rr within about 6-7 months... I put about 10K miles on the ninja first.. almost all of it was daily commuting.. I knew I could handle more so I got more.. lol tbh I want more even now.. but thats cuz I rode my coworkers 1000.

There was no need for that comment.
Keep in mind. The 600 you have right, if you're referring to my old bike, is a very outdated bike. It doesn't have shit on the 600's that are being put out today. I learned on that though, and now I feel completely comfortable on any bike I've ridden.
