VA pisses me off
Given I haven't payed the third one yet, but according to the letter I have to pay another processing fee when I turn in my driving certificate. I already paid one for the same ticket when I paid it off.
Why don't you condecending pricks go circle-jerk yourselves, especially those of you who don't even live around here. You don't have any reason for being here, nor are you welcome here. He wasn't on hear crying about getting the tickets, he's on here asking for advice on how the court system works. If you can't accept that, turn the computer off and go cry in the corner over your miserable existence. Brian, unfortunately, the court system is designed to screw you every which way possible. Revenue generation is a bitch. It's not fair, at all, but you're not in a position to change that. I'd use that as incentive to take it to the track, slow down a bit, or take whatever measure you feel is appropriate to not get caught again. Those are really your only options right now.

In addition I have to pay another $60 processing fee after I pay the driver's school. It's bs. I just went to driver's school after the last two tickets. Anything I can do? Talk to someone?
Processing fees assessed by law enforcement and the court system have to be justified so that they do not violate regulations against income-generating schemes. You have the right to request a breakdown of how the processing fees are used, just like you can at the DMV, under the Freedom of Information Act.
The fees are used to pay the salaries of employees directly involved in the collection transaction, nothing is sent back to the law enforcement department (with specific exceptions for DEA and DUI charges, which go back into specific funds as a percentage, typically 10%). You can write a letter to the address listed on the the letter, which is often simply the county Treasurer.
