We replaced the break out box today and it still didnt fix it. We then bought a new 25pin cable and that didnt fix it, but it helped. Finally replaced the optical sensor for the umpteenth time and everything is working correctly again. w00t.

I ordered a new box today so hopefully that fixes ours, i'm sure the car and bike dyno's are completely different animals though
