A sad day...
I don't want to sound like a dick, but I'm a realist:
Why get yourself back in a hole of any sort? If you're making out like a bandit by selling the Soarer, why spend all of that money, or even a good chunk of the money on a car? This is opportunity knocking, and you're not answering. If I were you, I'd eliminate any and all debt possible and enjoy a more average car that you could modify to your liking and still not be spending that much money.
I don't know if I'm the only one that's ever felt this way, but I'm starting to think it's absurd to spend any money more than necessary on a monthly car payment for nothing other than status and having people ooh and aah. I'm not going to live outside my means just to have a nice car that people admire. Not saying you would be, but you're talking about how paying debt off might be a priority to you... Why not make that the number one priority? The sooner you get out of debt, the better quality of life you're going to live.
Edit - > BTW, if you wouldn't mind PMing me, I'm curious to know how much this cat is offering you... It's got to be a bundle of money in order for you to be looking at the cars you're considering! I didn't have a clue what a car like that would sell for.

I 100% agree with you. I say get out of debt and build a car around you.
why not get out from under alot of bills and build a miata that would be almost as much fun to drive, and it was built with your hands?
or spend upwards of $800 a month on a 40k car?
maybe its just me, and that ive more or less gotten away from the car scene for the most part. but im about to sell my truck to get out from under a truck payment (pm me for details, shameless plug) and move my ass out of richmond (hawaii here i come)
