so my friend's dad is a firefighter and he said that there was an electrical fire and that the maze caught on fire, i dont know if its all ruined or not though.

no, i certainly do. they arent using pulsed diodes(think dvd burner laser diodes), if thats your meaning, they are using the higher-end stuff, continuous output, which is actually worse.
