yeah that sounds right if you look in issue 186 turbo magazine they show a clutch from anevo VIII on page 102 "One of the biggest Culprits for destroying clutches is teh mitsubishi EVO VIII. The all wheel drive drivetrain and its powerful engine wreck havoc on the clutch system. The clutch that they show had about 3,000 mles on it."

How ever, Im the tye of person if I break it I fix it... simple as that... hence why Im already looking for a clutch and flywheel for him... not that he needs it now, but w/ the given track history of the past cars... he will... so far I have found a deal on an ACT stage 2 clutch kit and flywheel for 900.00... But you all seem to already pass a judgement that i am douchebag and really have no fucking clue... Frankly I have grown bored w/ this thread...

 

Yeah looking into a clutch would be a good idea because when the clutch went out in my friends evo the dealership wouldn't cover it under warranty. They claimed he had been driving the car hard so they wouldn't cover it under the warranty. They charged him $1200 to replace the clutch and flywheel, which was completely ridiculous. I personally would've gotten a lawyer after them, because they can't control how you drive the car, you're the one paying for it.

 

It's not the car's or factory's fault if the owner drives it like a deuchebag.
