Just throwing out an idea... maybe a cook-out/get together dedicated to him and his family and a fund raiser with it to help? just an idea...

That is just to be expected, its what the media does, they find a way to turn a story like a car wreck, which even with a fatality is pretty standard stuff which will be in the news for the day of the crash and then be forgotten by everyone other than the victim's families forever. But when they find a way to turn it into a some epidemic and scare people they can really stretch it out and get every last advertising dollar out of it.

Its just like when someone gets killed by a "military style assault rifle", for the next week every news anchor is toting an ar-15 on air telling people that you can go to any 7-11 on the corner and buy one of these purpose built killing machines, when in reality just as many people get killed by handguns, knives, and shotguns as assault rifles.

I wouldn't worry about anything coming from the news' witch hunt, luckily most people have the memory of a goldfish and by the time the news gets bored with it, so will the viewing public completely forget about it. And I really doubt the owner of the car would sue RPM, unless they don't cover the damages or something. The real people most likely to sue RPM would be James's family in all reality, but I think its just an unfortunate accident and it will ultimately just be left as that.

A fund raiser seems like a great idea. as well does the bbq idea. mater a fact. Lets see if we can make it into a car show / bbq. all funds going to James family.

As well get a huge card. Have everyone that James knew spoke w/ or worked on their car sign.

Side Note:
Saw pics of the car today. Just twisted my stomach knowing.
