That's some BS. I guess people still get screwed over for doing the right thing. I say go with progressive. Decently priced and they will insure anything that has wheels.

It sucks, but if I was running an insurance company I probably wouldn't want to insure a modified sport compact either. Or any car that has a stronger than usual potential to be driven buy an overzealous teenager/guy in their 20's.

Aren't there insurance companies out there that will allow you to insure the additions and modifications (for more $) you've made to a car? Since he has a shitload of money sunk into that car that would be a good idea.

I'm actually surprised, I had my Accord fully insured by Geico for the H22A swap, Volks, all the accessories (~10k once all said and done) and they had no problems with it. I paid like $20 extra per 6 months.

I wasn't aware people actually told insurance companies they modded there cars, If I get in an accident I guess I'm fucked but Id rather have some coverage than none.

USAA has been good to me knock on wood, but for some reason my STI was more than my Vette is???
