And as we've seen with Ben's car (WRBWRX) they are not bulletproof. Both motors can handle a shitload of power. Personally, I'd get the WRX, but I've always liked them, and they're AWD instead of FWD.

I don't know that you're going to get to 250whp on a KO3s. To get max power out of the stock turbo (KO3s) you'll need a chip, turbo back exhuast, FMIC, intake, inlet and a few other small things. This should net about 220whp and about 275 ft. lbs or torque which equals 13s quarter mile times easily.

I didn't know they were forged. I just thought they were strong.

hahaha
you have it ass backwards...
the 1.8t has forged rods and forged pistons as well as a forged crankshaft from the factory...
the wrx motor i know for a fact the ej205 usdm wrx powerplant has a cast piston, and im almost positive that the rods are also cast...
i could be wrong... ill double check it...

Edit: and yes the rods are a powder metal casting...
and after doing some reading the crank also seems to be cast... so i think you were 100% wrong... pretty good lol

Hi steve

This is the man to talk to about making power with a 1.8t and he is right around the corner from you.
