WRX or GLI
And as we've seen with Ben's car (WRBWRX) they are not bulletproof. Both motors can handle a shitload of power. Personally, I'd get the WRX, but I've always liked them, and they're AWD instead of FWD.
what mods to you suggest for 250whp with proven dyno sheets.. not trying to be an ass just wondering whats out there ive been on vw vortex for a while but dont see to many glis with anything crazy done to them

you have it ass backwards...
the 1.8t has forged rods and forged pistons as well as a forged crankshaft from the factory...
the wrx motor i know for a fact the ej205 usdm wrx powerplant has a cast piston, and im almost positive that the rods are also cast...
i could be wrong... ill double check it...
Edit: and yes the rods are a powder metal casting...
and after doing some reading the crank also seems to be cast... so i think you were 100% wrong... pretty good lol

define a "shitload" of power.
