Ha ha ha, you crazy americans. Thats so fucking gay its untrue.

Who is the law to decide if you want to put a screen in your stearing wheel (bit gay, but anyway...).

I mean, what if you swap you stearing wheel for an aftermarket non airbag type???

Schumacher, scure me mate, you drive at over 200mph, can you please remove that £50,000 electronic gizma stearing wheel in favour for this £10 airbag or risk a fine.

Only in america lmfao

Well maybe "the law" got tried of scraping people off their dashboards or victums with broken necks that could have been avoided. I'm really not in favor of big brother saying what's best for us, but I agree on this one. I have quite a few friends who have been in a bad accident who swear by the airbag and probably would not be here today if not for it.

He doesn't need an airbag because he's got a racing harness and hans devise to keep his head and body in place during a crash. He also doesn't have to deal with soocor mom's in giant Tahoes, idiot ricers weaving through traffic, and drunk drivers on the race track.

Lets think about this before we criticize...

...
Obviously the airbag can save lives and good that you know a few that it has helped.
And personally I wouldnt remove my air bag for any reason either, but if someone wants to remove it, its thier car and I dont think they should be fined. Just my .02.

People cannot decide for themselves?? All goes in the same.

Why tune engines to mad power, speed limits 70mph, don't need to go any faster.
Why lower a car, makes a harsher ride
I've got an airbarg, had it for 5 years, it'll be going soon.

People should decide for themselves, if you want to put your own life in danger, who is anyone to decide for you.

Dont' most modifiers have harnesses these days (a lot for over here)..

Dont get me wrong, im totally not putting down airbags at all, one saved my friends life right in front of me, but at the end of the day, whats so harsh about putting a TV in? No worse than me taking mine off for an aftermarket non airbag wheel.... The damage in a crash would still be the same.

My point is, next they will be fining you for having a non airbag stearing wheel...

What people don't realize (or don't care about) is putting your own life at risk (or injury/death) does not just affect YOU. It affects our police/fire/EMS system. It affects our hospitals and medical staff. It affects our medical/vehicle/life insurance policies. Most importantly, it affects our families. Paralysis entails either a nurse or family to have to take care of you the rest of your life. Not to mention the money and time it costs EVERYONE involved.

And I think it goes without saying how your death would affect this...

Yeah right...

Regardless...harnesses are great to hold your body in place during a crash, but it does nothing for your head and neck. I don't see any modifers driving on the street (or even the track) with a hans devise on. An airbag is the next best thing.

Go ask the Earnhardt family what happens when the head and neck is not supported during a crash...
