VW experts get in here
got the lights fixed, every bulb in the ass end blew, not sure why.
and yes besides the airbag light on, and the lights going out, thats the only problem its had, and its a very very fun car.
oh and when we replaced the bulbs, every single one was blown
stupid vw's! kidding i love them
and yea glad to see your trying out the car brand that god personally approves.
wanna buy a vert? haha
the problem could be a faulty brake light switch. there is a recall on them. i had it performed on my 02 gti last year. in addition, i've had my passenger side seat belt receiver was replaced too. bc my airbag light went off out of no where. warranty should cover both problems

i was just stating it could be based off my previous experience bc when my brake switch was acting up it was causing my brake lights to malfunction. however, i've also had the problem with the ignition switch. the symptoms were the lights, radio, windshield wipers, and the ac all were not functioning, but the brights did work. it seems really unlikely. especially since the car is fairly new. i just thought i'd throw it out there. the best thing is probably to get it checked out at the dealership and since you've got warranty you won't have to worry about the diagnostic charge.

But you gotta admit, they are fun cars when nothing is going wrong with them.
