yeah my dad was like FUCK THIS FUCKING LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got the lights fixed, every bulb in the ass end blew, not sure why.

and yes besides the airbag light on, and the lights going out, thats the only problem its had, and its a very very fun car.

its probably something like a bad ground or a fuse. Take it to the dealer.

yeah but im kinda stumped at how it could be that, never done anything to it, and one day just decides to stop working

oh and when we replaced the bulbs, every single one was blown

stupid vw's! kidding i love them

i love VW's but they sure a hell do break down alot. i trashed 1 sold the other and am trying to get rid of the third >_<

im trying out the nissans now

yeah when my dad didnt pull up in the new nissan versa i was pissed, and then he was like, its a gti, not a golf, and i got happy, but now this makes me kinda sad, stupid electrical problems

and yea glad to see your trying out the car brand that god personally approves.

wanna buy a vert? haha

the problem could be a faulty brake light switch. there is a recall on them. i had it performed on my 02 gti last year. in addition, i've had my passenger side seat belt receiver was replaced too. bc my airbag light went off out of no where. warranty should cover both problems

the brake switch failed on my 20th also but thats not the problem.

i was just stating it could be based off my previous experience bc when my brake switch was acting up it was causing my brake lights to malfunction. however, i've also had the problem with the ignition switch. the symptoms were the lights, radio, windshield wipers, and the ac all were not functioning, but the brights did work. it seems really unlikely. especially since the car is fairly new. i just thought i'd throw it out there. the best thing is probably to get it checked out at the dealership and since you've got warranty you won't have to worry about the diagnostic charge.
