A C5 Vette, 6spd will get 36mpg+ all day long on the highway around 60-65mph. Aerodynamics help.

My 500+hp Talon got 31mpg going from Richmond to Woodbridge to Richmond @ 70mph with 1000cc injectors. I was amazed as anyone.

My S2000 got around 22mpg on average.

There's something to be said for enough torque to let you cruise around at 70mph and 2000rpms. Props to GM on the LS1s. I don't think anybody in their right mind doubts how good of engines the LSx motors are.

My SRT4 gets 24mpg city, and my formula got 12mpg city last time i drove it, and 17mpg highway

My LS2 when stock I got 29mpg from here to Charlotte cruising 75-80. No math needed, I have a computer that tells me

Honestly the only way you can get GREAT gas mileage in an LS1 is either a lot of highway driving on one tank or keeping your foot barely on the pedal. For the most part I got 15 in the city about mid-high 20's on the highway.
