v-8's get crapy gas mileage????
For you V-8 bashers out there that think in hp/liters, 0-60 magazine times and magazine racing. For thouse who say that owning a V-8 is to expensive. I paid $12.5 for the car, pay about $150/month insuranance. I documented my trip from Texas to the house just because I was curious what kinda MPG you can get with 6 speed stock LS1. Im not sure where the dealership gets their figures from but here are myne. I filled up full before I left. When I got down to about 3/4 of a tank left I stoped , recorded the mileage and then toped it off and recorded how much gas I put in. I rounded off to the nearest tenth.

I consider it crappy, but then again, I drive my car to the track, dogg the shit outta it, and drive home and still get 30mpg.
Then again, your car is alot faster than mine stock

You have to consider I was going about 80mph all the way thru. Not many cars can run at 80mph for an extended period of time and still get 26-28mpg
i think ive read the best fuel economy for ls1's with the m6 is right around 63mph.
with mine, all stock, m6 i can get 30mpg highway and ill average 21mpg with city/and some 55mph roads.
they definitely dont get enough credit though. not many cars can get 25mpg and put down 310hp.
