Turbo which engine? Help
If you are serious about doing a motor, let me know I can or my friends can help in the build. Figure about 5-6 g's just for the motor build and another 3 for the turbo set up.

Honestly, really think this whole thing is a dream in your head, but if you're serious, you better just drop it off at a shop and tell them you want a 500whp Civic, and they'll make it happen...for 2-3x the cost of the car itself.
If it were me and the goal were near 500hp I would build use a B18C (GSR). Have the block resleeved and get some forged pistons/rods. Also, get a good set of turbo cams and the supporting mods for the head (springs/retainers/oversized valves). Then as someone else said, look into the Full race turbo kits. Ordering from them makes everything a lot easier because you get everything.
Something else to consider is your intercooler options. I personaly like air to water setups, but a FMIC is more of a standard setup.

A lot of people are recommending stuff, but not telling him that the block will need to be rebuilt.
Also, I know of a user here running a B20/turbo setup and made somewhere around 260whp with 13 or 14 psi (maybe 15).

I have seen b16's turbo run 11's-12's all day so for your question which motor out of your choices and this is going to be a weekend car and money is not an issue I would go b18c of course it will have to be built from top to bottom to hit 500hp plus you have to build the tranny, have beefier axles, and suspension work to hold all that power. There is a guy in C'ville with a b16 crx hitting over 500hp but when you ask him he has a lot of money in suspension to get the power to hook up right.. doesn't make sense to get all that power and spin through the gears...if you want to just show off numbers and be a burn out queen I will take a d16 turbo over you anyday. You can go to http://drive.to/dhracing and they can build a motor for you for about $4500 thats including sleeves then you have to add a built tranny, axles, big turbo setup, engine management, beefier suspension. and if you can't install the stuff mechanic time....lots of money. But if you got it thats what it takes to build 500whp that can go straight with out spinning and get you good numbers on the track. Depends on what times you want, how much money you got or are you just building a dyno queen...you have to ask all these questions to yourself...your goal is not dumb like some people would say just a lot of questions of what you need for your goal. Hope this helps
