Turbo which engine? Help
I am planning to turbo the shit out of a Honda engine, but am not quite sure which one. After talking to a couple of friends, they have told me either B18B, B18C, or a H22A. Which engine (any Honda engine) would be the best to turbo to get at least 550hp? Thank you for your replies....

I have built B18's that I thought were very responsive. About 350 or 400hp @15psi So I would build a B18 - stroked up. I just built an H22 for a customer that I made around 360fwhp and 400lb/ft @16psi. Either way will work, but my vote is B18.

Re: Turbo which engine? Help
correct me if im wrong because im no where near a 100% sure. but doesnt B18c have a vtec and B18b dont? anyways that leads me to the point im getting to that i've heard, vtec heads are weaker than average heads. so wouldn't the B18b be better to turbo? all this is ,well pretty much a question too haha, but anyways i've also heard H22a have really weak heads and are a bad idea to turbo. but yea that's just what i've heard, figured i'd put it out there and see how much was actually true. thanks

550 in a FWD car will require A LOT of money. You will be upgrading literally almost everything in that car. So much to list that I won't even bother to.
That's a stupid number. Get a RWD car... preferrably something with a big block in it and you're good to go.

Money is not an issue, but i want to stick to the b series. The project car is going to be a 00 Civic hatchback. Ok, maybe not 550hp, but i want more than 400.
