If you are "rich" enough to say money isn't an issue, you're "rich" enough to buy and build a better car than that...hopefully you're "smart" enough to build something else more worthwhile for that money...But it's your money so good luck...

Agreed.

Seriously, if you have to come on a board here asking a question of which engine to start off with, you are far from building a fast car. I assume that when you refer to building a car you mean you will physically do the labor and work on it. If not, then there's no point in asking us and you could instead pay a professional to build it for you (someone who would know what the hell they would be doing).

The fact remains that you can build a fast car out of any of the engines you have presented to us, but each engine has a slightly different road to success power from them (in a reliable fashion might I add).

400 horses is a but more reasonable. I personally would shoot for mid 300s for tops. Why do you want such a fast car? Also, remember that horsepower is not an effective representation of what your trap speeds and quarter miles are going to be. Figure out what you want out of the car and what kind of times you expect/want rather than using horsepower as a goal.

Hey guys, im sure that whosthatguy appreciates all your opinions and output, but I believe his question was which engine to turbo. So all the replies about the question, good job, but all the other replies that just couldnt help to throw their two cents in...why be so negative? Let the guy do what he wants, all he needed was some help.

Obviously you did not realize that he needed a slight dose of reality. It's tough love.

yea,i agree..if he has "the money" to do it..then a b20/gsr setup would be more than enough to get closer to 500...more so in the 400 range.

For that much power out of a B20, I have overheard issues with the block not holding up to high boost settings (over 8psi).
