ticket
I was in a car accident (just me involved, lost cntrol over my car and my car spun out - ive been in hospital for the last 7 weeks)
the trooper that fouond me, about 10 minutes after i crashed wrote me a ticket 80 in a 55. I dont know where he got the speed from, but im 99% sure that i was only doing about 65. anyways, he'll proobably get through with his 80, so what do you guys think im looking at, im 18, va license, first offense..

Re: ticket
If you get a lawyer to dispute the speed (trooper likely based it on skid mark measured length), that will likely get dropped but the reckless charge will still stand since you lost control of your vehicle. Since it's your first offense, go to court and get the driver's ed option to reduce the charge -- the fact that you crashed your car and had to endure hospital bills and insurance premium increases, he may say you've hopefully "learned your lesson" and will not give you maximum fines.
