Default Getting rid of my raspyness

I have a header, midpipe and test pipe which doesn't have a resonator on it like some do. Unfortunately I'm stuck with the midpipe and test pipe. The header I have will only bolt up to the midpipe and testpipe it came with. No other aftermarket or stock midpipe will bolt up to it.... The catback(Apex-i WS2, which is one of the quieter exhaust out there) has a resonator, but I think it's going bad because it's gotten more raspy since I first put it on.

What I want to do is put a cat and a bigger resonator on. I had my car on the lift today and did some measuring.

This is my testpipe

There's 10" of straight pipe, but are highflow cats that short? I can't put one any closer because of the o2 bung.

And the resonator on the catback

There's 24" of room, so I was thinking a 22" Magnaflow resonator would be good there, but would that really get rid of the raspyness?..I really don't want it quiet because it's not loud right now. I just want the raspyness gone. Instead of putting a 22" Magnaflow there what about just putting a highflow cat there and not having any resonators on the exhaust?

It looks like those pictures were taken at cavalier ford, in the old body shop.

Installing a V8 or a Turbo usually gets rid of raspyness.

check carsound/magnaflow's univeral line of cats. some are very short and should come in whatever pipe diameter you have and the prices are very good.

It shouldn't matter how it sounds, but it should matter how many axles you snap!

when my h22 accord had the rice-disease (2.5'' diameter DP back, and a rice muffler) all i needed to do was slap on:

18'' Glasspack Resonator
Magnaflow exhaust
Magnaflow Cat

then it was all deep, low tone with ZERO rasp-rice shit.
