Vibrant Resonator...they are short, and work AMAZINGLY. MRD (Millennium Racing Development) sells them, they aren't cheap, but I haven't seen a better resonator yet. They also sell high flow cats, which help too, you can order different sizes, but I am not sure if there is one that will fit in that space you mentioned.
